A savvy developer/contractor saw a great opportunity in Ross where others had overlooked the possibilities. Situated on a busy stretch of Sir Francis Drake Blvd., the dilapidated and abandoned house even had flood zone issues and dry rot throughout. We were able to work with the Town of Ross and get support for lifting the house out of the flood zone, and greatly exceed the floor area ration requirements in doubling the size of the house to 3,900 SF. With the strategic shift of the living spaces to the back overlooking Corte Madera Creek, a brightly sun-lit entry hallway became a feature, rather than something to rush past. The house sold its first weekend for $2.4 million, setting new $/SF records for the area.
